Craig Landry - Attorney at Law

To bankers and other financial officers, Craig J. Landry is not just another attorney. He is a Houma, Louisiana native who enjoys what he does and does it well. Recognized as one of the leading real estate attorneys in the area, Craig has established a strong following with banks and mortgage companies alike. Over the past 10 years he has earned an enviable reputation for “transactional law” while gaining the trust of a broadly-based clientele. He is a lawyer’s lawyer whose insistence for efficiency and thoroughness goes without saying. Open and forthright, Craig Landry is the name other professionals have put at the top of their list.

Without question, Craig Landry’s career is exemplary of hard work and dedication to his craft. Still, there is another side to this untiring local; a hometown boy whose concern for friends is as deep-seated as is his commitment to family and community. For the most part there really is no perceptible difference between Craig Landry, transactional law attorney, and Craig Landry, family man and neighbor. Ethical in his business affairs, considerate and loyal among his peers, Craig Landry is exactly who he is–himself.

To those who knew him as a youth, Craig was just as warm and easy-going as he is today. Even then he made time for the family business (where he worked on weekends) and his friends. Growing up in a rural environment, however, Craig eventually thought of leaving Houma for a larger city. Although his later travels only took him as far as Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, (and where he eventually met his wife) there were never any regrets. Once back home Craig teamed up with his life-long friend, Bradley Doyle, attorney, and became a managing partner of one of Houma’s most recognized firms–Landry & Doyle, APLC.

Today both men still work out of the same 120-year-old, two-story Acadian style building on the corner of Park Avenue and Wilson. The major difference now is that Bradley specializes in personal injury and Craig in real estate transactions. With their own set of clients and minimal cross-over between their businesses, they do on occasion share similar resources. Aside from this and the fact they are both Houma natives who once lived together at LSU and currently practice under the same roof, the most one can say is that they are very close friends.

Yet it is friendships such as theirs, and Craig’s ability to network with large groups of diverse companies, that has helped establish his name. Craig would be the first to admit that such close-knit ties to childhood friends, and later bankers, mortgage companies and realtors have had a significant impact upon his business. Still, it is more than networking and his knowledge of the law that has brought him recognition. Behind his affable presence is a focused attorney with a team of assistants whose reputation for research and accountability is second to none. The combination, as clients will attest, has resulted in thousands of smooth and unhampered transactions over the years.
